A little friendly competition can accomplish a lot of good.
This year’s Liz Moore & Associates Peanut Butter and Jelly Drive took on the energy of Cupcake Wars, with offices competing to see who could collect the most donations. The competition was fun, the office displays were impressive, and the final results exceeded anything we expected.
In only 30 days, our company collected 11,790 jars of peanut butter and jelly for local organizations and families in need.
That represents a 76% increase over last year, when the company collected 6,700 jars.
Newport News Finishes First Again
I am especially proud to share that the Newport News office took first place again, collecting a total of 4,438 jars.
Seeing this many donations gathered in one place was incredible. Boxes, cases, and jars filled the office as agents, staff members, clients, friends, and community members continued bringing in donations throughout the drive.
Every jar represented someone who decided to help.
Some people donated one or two jars. Others delivered entire boxes. Every contribution mattered and helped move us closer to our goal.
The Real Winners Are Local Families
The office competition made the drive exciting, but winning was never the most important part.
These donations will help local food pantries, churches, charities, and community organizations keep their shelves stocked. Peanut butter and jelly are especially helpful because they are affordable, easy to store, and can provide a quick meal for children and families.
The need throughout our community was greater than ever this year. Fortunately, our clients, friends, neighbors, and coworkers rose to meet that need.
Because of their generosity, thousands of jars will now make their way to organizations serving people throughout Newport News and the surrounding Hampton Roads community.
Thank You for Showing Up
Our most successful Peanut Butter and Jelly Drive yet would not have been possible without the people who donated, shared information about the drive, encouraged others to participate, and helped organize the final collection.
Real estate is about much more than houses. It is about people, neighborhoods, relationships, and finding ways to support the communities we call home.
Thank you to everyone who helped us collect 11,790 jars in 30 days. Your generosity made a real difference, and I am grateful to be part of a company and community that consistently show up when help is needed.
And to everyone who helped the Newport News office collect 4,438 jars and claim the top spot again—thank you for helping us bring home the win while supporting an even greater cause.
